The milestones and the history of the "TAO Group"
The TAO Group consists of several independent limited liability companies with different focuses on the design, construction, implementation, testing and marketing of research and development of sustainable technologies. Our milestones in brief:
First certified Solar Airship LOTTE; remotely controlled, later autonomous flying
First solar glider “Icare”, taking off without external assistance but with a 90 kg pilot, received „Berblinger Award“ 1996
„Körber-Price“, most significant European Industrial Science Award for the concept of HAP "SkyDragon” telecommunication platform
Founding of TAO Trans Atmospheric Operations GmbH
ff: Development and test flights of various HAP types of SkyDragon
Development of the dirigible autonomous parachute “ALF”, which is supposed to unload humanitarian goods and developed as a “rescue-system”
The SkyDragon Technology as a world novelty was presented at the Euromold in Frankfurt (Germany) and got the "3D Design in Motion-Award".
Start of the cooperation between TAO and US-Company
