TAO stratospheric alliance
Telecommunications, data transfer and internet from the stratosphere is the future. So-called High Altitude Platforms (also known as HAPS or High Altitude Pseudo Satellites) take over the technological task of transmitting data between satellites and land-based technologies or as an add-on system to existing data networks to expand and support them: Ideal for metropolitan areas with high data transfer volumes or areas with very little infrastructure.
In the TAO Stratosphere Alliance, leading, forward-looking companies, institutes, research and technology partners, scientists and enthusiasts work together to jointly implement the great goal of data communication from the stratosphere.
This TAO Stratosphere Alliance has the goals:
- Networking of people interested in the HAP technology
- Mutual support of existing flight and data transmission concepts through technology cooperation and knowledge exchange
- Joint flight tests of TAO HAP with technical and payload partners who want to test their equipment in the stratosphere
- avoid space debris and implement sustainable new technologies for the stratosphere that are able to start, maintainable and recyclable
- Development of a common, secure and sustainable global data network from the stratosphere
- To create an active forum for cross-sectoral cooperation
- Promote the exchange and joint development of different application scenarios for the HAPS such as urban and development planning, transport planning, wild forest fire detection and nature conservation, environmental research such as smog measurement, climate change and vegetation development, earth observation and cartography, meteorology, earthquake, storm and flood warnings mutual support of existing flight and data transmission concepts through technology cooperation and knowledge exchange
- Support border guards
- Joint flight tests by TAO HAP with technology and payload partners who want to test their equipment in the stratosphere
- Supporting crisis and disaster management and protecting the earth avoid space debris and implement sustainable new technologies for the stratosphere that are able to start, able to land, technically maintainable and recyclable
Trend-setting TAO stratosphere alliance partners can be:
- Technology partners such as aerospace companies, software- and internet-, logistics companies
